Throughout the year, Get The Gaff Sportfishing offers a range of fishing opportunities in the Gulf of America, Choctawhatchee Bay; as well as taking you offshore for some more extreme game fishing. Raised in Louisiana working on tug boats, but having moved to Destin as a teenager, Captain Taylor Bankston has learned from some of the best captains in our area. He is well adept at fishing in the Gulf with over 20 years in the fishing industry out of Destin. He was able to get his own boat in 2019 and is eager to share his passion with you.

We offer private guided fishing charters for up to 6 people. We also provide all tackle, fishing license, boat, captain and everything you need to have a great fishing experience. Whether you are new at fishing or experienced, the Captain is great with all. At the end of the trip he will fillet your fish and bag it up for you to either take with you, or take it to one of the local restaurants for a hook and cook. You’ll drift along the waters aboard a spacious custom 26’ Robalo center console with 4 person tower, allowing for 360-degree vision when fishing. There's plenty of room to tug and swing when trying to reel in a big one. The boat is powered by brand new twin Yamaha 150 HP engines, so you’ll have no problem getting right out to the heart of the ocean whilst the fishfinder on board will make sure you’re at the sweetest spots for fishing. Outriggers are fitted to maximize your spread while trolling.  There’s also a new Garman Fusion radio with JBL speakers and a 10" Bazooka Tube on board so you can blast your favorite tunes as you ride out. We have matching sets of Penn Fathoms/Shimano Toriums for bottom fishing. Or with the Ty-nos, Talica 50 and shimano 50 for larger game. We also use Karigan 1000 electric reel for deep dropping.
