The Grand Marlin of Pensacola Beach Restaurant and Oyster Bar

The story begins with a group of friends on a boat in 2008, cruising the North Drop fishing grounds in the Virgin Islands, waiting for fish to bite and hoping to land an Atlantic Blue Marlin. Through their shared passion for boats, big-game fishing, seafood, stories and the stress-free lifestyle of the Caribbean, the idea of The Grand Marlin was born. In April 2010, The Grand Marlin Pensacola Beach first opened its doors. The restaurant proved such a smashing success that in 2016, The Grand Marlin opened a second location in Panama City Beach.

Since opening its doors in April of 2010, The Grand Marlin has been serving the Pensacola area’s best selection of fresh seafood. Offering a tranquil, relaxed atmosphere, The Grand Marlin’s delectable, daily menu specials from the kitchen of award-winning Chef Gregg McCarthy have long been a Pensacola mainstay. His concept remains simple – to focus on fresh, quality seafood and highlight it with local ingredients. And the concept is working.
